We have engaged Hoolet to deliver a number of projects and I have found them to be very proactive and motivated in any activity they have undertaken. Hoolet has been absolutely amazing to work with. My business was growing and I wanted to reflect this in a new brand identity for TLC Accounts and a redesign and build to create an informative and engaging website. I was understandably anxious about undertaking such a massive project to redesign and build my website, but the process was made so straightforward for me and did not feel overwhelming at all. Joanna organised and planned the schedule of work for the designer and developer, giving me regular updates and the opportunity to feed back on the progress. Joanna is a superstar. We asked her to run a masterclass on brands & branding and marketing for the Founders on the Aberdeen Elevator Accelerator programme and she knocked the ball out of the park! After a long hard look at myself and everything I’d put into my business, I was questioning why I wasn’t getting the rewards, what was I doing wrong? I was running a successful business, I knew I was really good at what I do, I offered something no one else offered, but it still wasn’t enough and the rewards still didn’t quite weigh up on the effort put in. If the truth be told I was expecting people to be beating my door down, so why weren’t they? So what did Hoolet bring? Only after my first consultation with Joanna at Hoolet did I grasp why. No one - including me - knew who I was. I had three websites, weddings and commercial, Dundee photography studio and oil and gas photography and none of them portrayed me. One question was asked, who are you? Chris Scott Photography? So do you think people know it’s you with the other two websites? Another identification was the websites were SEO-friendly, but not user-friendly. It wasn’t a great client experience. Also picked up was where are you in these websites? Why do people come to you, what’s the experience like? None of that was there. To build something up, you have to be prepared to be torn down and trust. I am such a control freak, hearing the advice was like scraping on a blackboard. Hearing these things and letting go was tough, but Joanna makes sense immediately and you know she’s making sense. When the blackboard sound was over, I left the call feeling enlightened. Joanna has a great knack of making sense out of personal chaos and the following email outlining our conversations, was a welcome addition. Talk about level of detail - she covered the why, the how and the reason, which reinforced why I should be making the changes. Joanna thinks like your customer and then gets you to think like your customer. These are the ingredients only a few possess and a recipe for the success you strive for. We all have the answers inside us, it just takes someone like Joanna to get you to get the answers out. So actions are: three websites are going to be one. It’s been copy-written by Joanna and we have five extremely well-written specific blogs. These blogs are not about products, or selling services, but are engaging pieces, cleverly written that visitors will read and want to know more.
