The content marketing alphabet: part two

Content marketing letters

And the content marketing chat continues.

We’ve covered A to J of the content marketing alphabet so far (take a peek at our previous blog) and today we’re working through K to S.

There’s over 110 content ideas out there giving you ample opportunity to stand out on social media and here’s some below.

K – Knowledge share

Have a burning desire to share your wisdom on a topic you love? Knowledge sharing is right up your street.

The Hoolet Lectures is where we cover off our grammar gripes and clear up the common errors made in the English language. It all ties back to what we do as a business and engages our social media audience in a light-hearted (and finger waggy) way.

L – Live streams

Go live with your audience and host an online Q&A, product launch or share a first look of new premises.

M – Mascots

I couldn’t resist this one. You may have spotted our very own Hoolet doing the rounds on social media and we like to take him out and about with us for those all important photo opportunities.

Whether it be a conversation starter or just a bit fun, a company mascot can work wonders for adding some extra personality online. Better yet, you can guarantee you’ll stick in people’s minds too – “who was that person holding the stuffed owl?”

N – News article

Keep your audience up to date with the latest news from your business through your own news articles posted to your website. From staff changes to new clients, there’s always a story hiding somewhere. Don’t forget to share online articles from other news sources too.

Surprise, surprise, we also have some handy pointers on how to spot and tell news

O – Overheard conversations or behind the scenes

Give your audience an insight into what happens behind the scenes of your business. Maybe a colleague said a corker of a one-liner, a supplier dropped off an unexpected gift or a team brainstorm in action – it all helps build connection with your audience. Let’s face it, we’re all nosey.

P – Podcast

Have a topic you love talking about or just love talking in general? Starting your own podcast could be an ideal move for you. With an estimated 15.5million of us in the UK listening to a podcasts on a regular basis, you could be added to someone’s subscription list soon.

Q – Quiz

Now we may have entered a bit of quiz fatigue in the height of lockdown, but the odd quiz here and there never hurt anyone. With our love of words, grammar quizzes work for us at Hoolet.

Have a think about themes that lend themselves well to what you do or facts about your business that others may not know. It’s a fun way to share what you do and who you are in a different way.

R – Reels and Tik Toks

As attention spans get shorter, these new short-form videos can stop followers in their tracks. Thanks to the help of the algorithms of Instagram, Facebook and Tik Tok, these videos can reach more people than traditional image posts.

If you’re struggling for inspiration on what to create, there’s always a viral trend to jump on.

S – Soundbite

If you’re microphone-shy, maybe hosting your own podcast isn’t for you but don’t let that stop you sharing episodes or clips of podcasts your audience may find interesting.

And S marks the end of this blog instalment. Keep an eye on our social media for our third and final part in the coming weeks.

If you can’t wait until then and need some help, let’s chat and see how we can work together.
